Splash Day Spa and Mineral Pools Attraction is currently seeking 2-4 outstanding beauty therapists to join their busy and growing team. We are looking for people who are extremely passionate about their work in beauty, and who would like to work in our spa and skin treatment/detox facility long term. Your best quality will be your excellent and helpful attitude, and your ability to be a self starter and work without requiring ongoing supervision. Your normal working hours will include but not be limited to Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, as our spa is open 7 days per week, 10am-6pm. If you would like to work more hours than 3 days per week, for the right person this is definitely a possibility, with as many as 5-6 days per week being available. We also have a position open for someone to work either Saturdays and Sundays or just one of these days if that is preferred.
Splash Mineral Pools & Spa and Mineral Pools Attraction specialises in pampering body treatments, facials, and massage. We also perform laser hair removal and waxing.
Splash Mineral Pools & Spa is a large & busy day spa and Mineral Pools Attraction and is located in central Surfers Paradise.

Skills:
|
We are seeking people with:
* Prior experience as a beauty therapist (prior experience in a day spa will be advantageous)
* Diploma in Beauty Therapy, recognised and accepted in Australia
* Excellent customer service skills - at Splash, the client ALWAYS comes first
*Experience in reception and/or customer service
* Experience and skills with multi tasking - you will be required to perform beauty therapy treatments, as well as retailing skin care products, giving skin care consultations, reception work, and performing our guest services role
* A desire and ability to work well in a team environment
* Preferably experience using Dermalogica products for facials
* Excellent and helpful attitude, a happy personality, smiling face
You will:
* Be capable and experienced in performing Brazilian waxes in 30 minutes or less
* Be capable and experienced in performing Spray Tans
*Be computer literate with a medium to advanced level of competency with standard Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer
* Be confident in your own abilities as a person and a therapist, and enjoy learning and be willing to attend unpaid specific beauty therapy treatment/product training as required and requested by Splash to further your own skills and qualifications as a therapist
* Have a great work ethic
* Enjoy being busy and working in a busy environment
* Have the desire and ability to work with a great degree of efficacy, moving around quickly and ensuring you are always on time for treatments - both starting them AND finishing them!
* Be happy, willing and ready to perform any additional tasks as required within the day spa to ensure the smooth running of the day spa on a day to day basis
* Be a hard worker and always put in 110% effort
* Have a fantastic attitude toward learning and performing new tasks
* Be a mature, smiling and friendly person with character and personality
* Be happy and competent retailing beauty and skin care products to our clients and working with retail targets
* Be comfortable and capable of working without constant supervision / management
ATTITUDE counts for EVERYTHING, and is even more important than experience!!!
